We bought a sofa from Debenhams in December 2010. We were told that our old sofa would be taken away when the new one was delivered. Later when I called to check the Delivery I wanted to confirm the taking away of the old Sofa. I was told I was misinformed.
Please note their sofa’s take 10 weeks to get delivered.
The delivery is from another company called MWD. On the date of delivery i took a day off as I was not given a delivery time slot. By 17:00, I hadn’t had a call and had wasted a day. I called MWD to ask when I could expect the delivery and was promised a call back from the driver. I had to make another call to MWD and an irate call to Debenhams before the driver called me around 17:15 that he would be delivering the sofa within the next two Hours.
I wouldn’t want to shop again at Debenhams after this. So much so for Customer satisfaction at a big high street name.
In my opinion Debenhams and Customer satisfaction don’t go together.
